02 · The hour
What happens in sixty minutes.
- I
Warm up
Five minutes on the mat while your coach watches how you actually move. No tech yet. You talk through what's been costing you strokes.
- II
Measure
TrackMan 4 reads every swing: club speed, attack angle, face to path, spin rate, smash factor. Real numbers on screen, translated into plain English.
- III
Diagnose
Your coach reads the data with you and finds the cause behind your miss, not the symptom you've been sanding away at on the range.
- IV
Fix
You work the biggest lever first, then re-measure and watch the numbers move. You leave with one clear priority and the drill for it, in writing.
03 · The numbers
Feel lies. Numbers don't.
Every swing you take in Bay 1 gets measured. These are the five numbers your coach reads back to you in plain English, and what they say about your miss.
Guessing is expensive.
Buckets of range balls and YouTube tips treat symptoms. Practice a flaw without measuring it and you make the flaw permanent.
Feel isn't fact.
TrackMan shows what actually happened at impact: speed, launch, spin, path. Not how it felt. What the ball did, and why.
Proof before you leave.
Same swing, same screen, after the adjustment. You see whether the pattern moved and exactly what to practice next.
04 · Fit check
Who it's for. Who it isn't.
Book it if
- ✓You've never swung a club and want to start without an audience.
- ✓You used to play, you're rusty, and you'd rather restart with data than bad habits.
- ✓You play regularly but the same miss keeps showing up: slice, top, chunk, two-way miss.
Skip it if
You just want a fun night hitting balls with friends.
Book a bay instead, from $15/hour →You're booking for a kid.
See junior programs →You already know your numbers and want a structured month.

Or buy nothing else. Take your fixes and practice on your own. Bays start at $15/hour.
06 · Questions
Before you book.
I've never golfed. Is this going to be embarrassing?
No. Most First Swing bookings are first-timers or golfers coming back after years away. It's a private bay with one coach. Nobody's watching, nobody's keeping score. We meet you where you are.
When do First Swing sessions run?
Coaching runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and evenings, plus select Sundays. After checkout we reach out to lock in the exact time that works for you. The facility itself is open to the public 6 AM to midnight daily.
Do I need my own clubs?
No. Free club rentals are available, with full sets, left- and right-handed, kid-sized included. Bring your own if you have them; the coach can work with either.
What should I wear or bring?
Whatever you can swing in. Athletic clothes, joggers, jeans are all fine. Running shoes or soft-spike golf shoes; no metal spikes. Bring yourself, we have the rest.
I'm left-handed. Does that limit me?
Not at all. The First Swing runs in Bay 1, which is set up for both left- and right-handed players.
Where are you, and where do I park?
15230 Yonge Street, Suite 2F, second floor at Yonge & Wellington in Aurora. Free street parking on Yonge out front, plus a free public lot at 3 Temperance Street directly behind the building.
What happens after the hour?
You leave with your numbers and your fixes in writing. If you want to keep going, we can show you the current lesson packages or structured coaching options after the session. The hour stands on its own. Plenty of people take the fixes and just book practice bays.
