03 · The kit
What to bring.
Most first-timers overpack. The actual list is one line; the rest is optional.
Clubs (optional)
Bring your own if you have them. If you don't, we have free club rentals 24/7 — full sets, left- and right-handed, kid-sized available. Premium club upgrade $20 during staffed hours.
Footwear
Athletic shoes, running shoes, or soft-spike golf shoes. No metal spikes (they wreck the mat). Jeans, golf pants, joggers — all fine. Wear what you'd swing in.
Glove and balls
Optional. We provide range balls. If you prefer your brand or want to test a glove, bring them.
Food and drink
Bar opens Friday–Sunday in-season; private bookings get bar service year-round. During public hours we ask no outside food/drink — the bar covers it.
ID
Bar service requires standard 19+ ID. Bay booking doesn't.
04 · The arrival
What happens when you walk in.
The building is at 15230 Yonge Street, second floor. Park underground off Wellington. Elevator to the second floor. Tap your confirmation email at the door. Find your bay (signs on each door). The screen activates automatically.
During staffed hours, a Club X host is on the floor — they'll show you the bay if it's your first time. Outside staffed hours (after 10 PM or before 8 AM), the bays run themselves; everything you need is one tap on the email.

Do I need to book ahead?
Strongly recommended. Bays fill up evenings and weekends. Walk-ins welcome if a bay is free, but the safe move is 60 seconds on Alba Play.
How long is a typical first visit?
60 to 90 minutes is the most common slot for a first round. Enough to warm up, play 9 holes on a famous course, and try a few drills.
Am I supposed to be good?
No. The room is built for golfers at every level — total beginners through scratch players. Daniel coaches first-timers regularly via the $79 Swing Check.
What about left-handed players?
Bays 1 and 2 are set up for both left- and right-handed. Bay 3 is right-handed only due to ceiling geometry. Alba Play filters automatically.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes. Bay 1 fits up to 5, Bay 2 up to 3, Bay 3 up to 2. One booking, one bay, share the slot.
How does the door work?
Your confirmation email contains a one-tap link. Tap it within your booking window (±15 minutes) and the door opens.
